Malabrigo Rios is one of my favorite yarns. The colors are so rich. It’s ultra soft. And it’s an easy yarn to work with for a variety of patterns.
Lately, it’s been my yarn of choice for baby blankets. I made this textured one a year ago for a little girl. For my latest project, I chose a deep blue (Azul) for my friends’ son. I always fall in love with these blankets and want to keep them at the end!
This pattern knits up pretty quickly (if you don’t mess up and have to frog 20+ rows like I did). I like the simple elegance of the blanket and it shows off the lovely variations in the yarn.
The leftover yarn is also perfect for making a cute little matching hat!
